Welcome to YJP! Originally launched in 2023, 'Your Jam Plug UK' has several goals:
1. Connecting the scattered, and sometimes isolated, roller skaters across the UK (... maybe the world?)
By acting as a central point of curated information, even the newest or smallest skate space can reach the right audience, and skaters can easily find the what's happening local to them.
2. The issue of "novelty". Many skate events focus on recreational public sessions where chaos ends up being king.
We're for the passionate skaters.Aiming to showcase only passion-led skate events, groups and businesses.
3. Growth. There is so much potential for our sport and all the disciplines under it, but the issue is often due to the lack of connection and the erratic flow of money.
Every pound spent with a skater-led business is a direct reinvestment into the culture. To do that, we're building a directory of skate businesses and services, eventually this will create a cycle of money that returns, ensuring that wealth cycles back to support the people who actually build the scene.

I'm a London skater and I've paid plenty of wood, gravel and concrete tax- most iconic moment was stacking it on Tower Bridge...
No one asked me to build this, I just heard the peoples frustrations (along with my own) and thought of a potential solution. And honestly... I just want more places to skate.
My Credentials?... Passion.

When I say "we", I mean YOU and I. This site lives off of collaborations, connections and community.
Here's how you can help:
The skater - signs up to the newsletter.
The Organiser - submit their events to be listed on our calendar.
The Owner - submit their business to be added to the directory.
Everyone - Share the site and our socials, ensure all skaters know and give feedback, cause remember, this is for all of us.
